Job Description
Bethany College invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in Management and Marketing within the Professional Schools Business Division, beginning Fall 2026. We seek a teacher-scholar-practitioner excited to build innovative business programs, including Bethany's recently launched 4+1 MBA, in a small, residential liberal arts environment where close faculty–student relationships, interdisciplinary collaboration, and integration of AI and emerging technologies are central to the educational experience.
This position is ideal for a business educator who values the liberal arts as essential preparation for ethical leadership, adaptability, and lifelong learning—and who is eager to contribute to a college community where faculty shape programs, mentor students, interact with alumni, and connect learning to real-world application.
Position OverviewThe successful candidate will teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Management and Marketing; advise and mentor students; and contribute to program development, assessment, and continuous improvement. Faculty at Bethany collaborate across disciplines and participate in initiatives supporting student success, enrollment growth, and curricular innovation.
Qualifications• Ph.D. in Management or Marketing required; ABD candidates with anticipated completion date considered
• Demonstrated effectiveness in undergraduate teaching; Masters or MBA teaching experience a plus
• Commitment to student-centered, inclusive teaching and meaningful faculty–student engagement
• Interest in program building, including curriculum development and support of innovative pathways such as the 4+1 MBA
• Ability to contribute to a liberal arts learning environment through interdisciplinary collaboration and experiential learning
• Willingness to engage in student advising and recruitment
• Interest in integrating emerging technologies, including AI-enabled tools, into teaching and program development
• Fluency in Spanish is a plus
• Strong communication and collaborative skills
Primary Responsibilities• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Management and Marketing, including contributions to the 4+1 MBA program
• Create engaging, student-centered learning environments using evidence-based and innovative instructional strategies that combine proven business fundamentals with emerging technologies.
• Develop syllabi with measurable learning outcomes aligned to program and institutional goals
• Integrate current and emerging business decision-making technologies, including AI-enabled tools, to enhance learning and professional preparation
• Foster business-faculty partnerships that enhance learning outcomes
• Advise and mentor students in academic planning, internships, career pathways, and graduate study
• Participate in program development, assessment, and continuous improvement
• Engage in student recruitment, retention efforts, and campus events
• Collaborate across disciplines, contributing to Bethany's interdisciplinary core curriculum
• Serve on college and division committees and engage in the Bethany College and Lindsborg community as appropriate
