General Summary

Support company-wide compliance with insurance, licensing, and contractual requirements while providing accounting and administrative support to the Business Services department. Ensure accurate documentation, regulatory compliance, and adherence to internal financial procedures.

Essential Job Functions

1.       Maintain subcontractor files according to compliance checklist.

2.       Verify vendor compliance with insurance requirements.

3.       Monitor and maintain company licensing compliance at state, local, and federal levels including renewals and required documentation.

4.       Approve payment disbursements, ensuring authorization is obtained according to company procedures. 

5.       Assist with coordinating travel and lodging

6.       Cross-train on all functions of the Business Services department

7.       Review, process, and track vendor and subcontractor contracts to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company policies.

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

 

1.       Knowledge of construction industry licensing and insurance a plus.

2.       Accounting knowledge with understanding of flow to General Ledger a plus.

3.       Strong ability to adhere to established company procedures and processes with discretion and confidentiality.

4.       Excellent organizational skills and ability to adhere to deadlines and follow up through completion.

5.       Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including advanced Excel with ability to create pivot tables.

Education and Experience

1.       High School diploma.

2.       Prior compliance experience in day to day operations within a mid- to large-sized company.

3.       Detail-oriented and flexible to work on several projects at once.

4.       Excellent customer service skills.

5.       Oral and written communication skills are required.

6.       This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary.
