Position Information Working Title: Business Services Student Employee Department: Campus Recreation Building/Office Location: HC - A. D. Albright Health Center Job Description The Membership Services Student Employee will be expected to perform the following tasks on a daily basis: Develop and maintain effective communication with patrons. Demonstrate excellent customer service while interacting with patrons. Process, monitor, and input all payroll deductions into department CSI software. Assist students, faculty, staff, alumni and family members with information pertaining to Campus Recreation and about NKU in general. Process memberships, registrations, and financial transactions utilizing CSI membership software. Track and maintain an efficient system for locker rental database and locker clean outs each semester. Assist Business Services Professional staff members with monthly membership and locker electronic notification renewals. Work collaboratively with Business and Membership Services Professional staff to implement new policies and procedures in regards to CSI membership software as needed. Be aware of available Campus Recreation Center programs and pricing information. Primary Responsibilities Provide exceptional customer service to all patrons entering into the Campus Recreation Center. Be aware of all updated membership information as well as CRC programming. Maintain locker rentals and lock organization on a daily basis. Complete opening and closing shift responsibilities according to task list created by Business Services Professional Staff Members. Adhere to the University’s cash handling policy when working with cash on a daily basis. Complete PCI compliance training each semester to ensure adherence to NKU policies and procedures. Maintain an organized and effective parking permit log sheet. Answer phone for Membership Services Area, communicate to members in a professional and efficient manner. Qualifications Experience with cash handling. Currently enrolled in undergraduate classes at Northern Kentucky University. Previous customer service experience. Previous experience with CSI membership software (a plus). Ability to work on their own. Ability to problem solve. Comfortable dealing with difficult situations. Any candidate who is offered this position will be required to go through a pre‑employment criminal background check as mandated by state law.
