Business Support Specialist Location : Rio Grande Valley, Texas preferred | Remote or regional candidates considered Schedule : Tuesday through Friday, on-call for weekend troubleshooting Employment Type : Part Time or Full Time About the Role Landhawk Consulting LLC is seeking a Business Support Specialist to assist with operational coordination, scheduling support, travel logistics, and administrative organization across active environmental consulting projects. This role provides essential support to project managers and field personnel by coordinating communications, organizing schedules, and maintaining logistical readiness for ongoing monitoring and compliance activities. Landhawk’s projects frequently involve active construction monitoring, environmental compliance observation, and biological resource monitoring across Texas, New Mexico, and surrounding regions. Because these projects often remain active on weekends, the Business Support Specialist position is structured around extended operational coverage from Friday through Monday , helping maintain coordination and communication during periods when field activity continues outside the traditional work week. This role supports Landhawk’s ability to maintain organized project execution by assisting with travel coordination, schedule management, expense organization, and documentation review. Responsibilities Assist with coordination of weekly monitoring schedules and staff assignments across active projects Support travel logistics, including coordination of hotel reservations and short-term accommodations for field personnel Monitor communications and assist with relaying project updates between project managers and field teams Assist with organization and preliminary review of staff expense submissions prior to accounting review Provide administrative coordination during extended operational periods when projects remain active over weekends Assist with quality review of daily monitoring reports to ensure documentation is complete and consistent with company standards Help organize project documentation, including monitoring records and photographic documentation Coordinate logistical details and operational updates that support project managers and field personnel Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in business administration, environmental science, biology, or a related field preferred but not required Strong organizational and communication skills High attention to detail when reviewing documentation and expenses Ability to manage multiple coordination tasks across active projects Proficiency with standard office software, including Microsoft Office or similar tools Ability to work independently while supporting distributed project teams Valid driver’s license and ability to pass a background check Preferred Experience Experience in environmental consulting, construction coordination, or project administration Familiarity with environmental monitoring or regulatory compliance projects Experience assisting with travel coordination or logistics planning Experience reviewing documentation or administrative reports Work Environment This position supports projects occurring throughout Texas, New Mexico, and other regions where Landhawk Consulting maintains active work. The role primarily involves administrative coordination, communication management, and logistical support for field teams working across multiple project locations. While the position supports field operations, most responsibilities involve coordination and administrative support that can be performed outside active project sites. Occasional travel or in-person coordination may occur depending on project needs.
