The not-for-profit, 25-bed Critical Access Hospital features a 24-hour physician-staffed emergency department, with state-of-the-art diagnostic imaging and electronic medical record services. Our large, quiet labor/birthing rooms are private and located away from other patient care areas. The private patient rooms on the 5th floor Medical/Surgical Department boast views from every window. Administration, staff, and medical providers are committed to delivering high quality, comprehensive health care services to the people of the Hi-Line communities of Montana. Specialties of our active staff of doctors include Anesthesiology, Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, General Surgery, Hematology, Internal Medicine, OB/GYN, Oncology, Ophthalmology, Optometry, Orthopedic Surgery and Sports Medicine, Pain Management, Pathology, Podiatry, Psychiatry, Psychology, Radiology and Women’s Health. For the convenience of our patients, we also host visiting physicians at our clinics in the areas of: Cardiology Pediatric Pulmonology Urology Radiation Oncology Nephrology Endocrinology Optometry About the role This position is primarily responsible for systems and technical support of all Business Service Depts. reporting to the Director of Information Systems. Accountabilities for the Business Systems Analyst encompass: • Evaluation and maintenance of system dictionaries to enhance the flow of information among the Business Service applications and to improve revenue cycle performance. • Implementation of software applications and updates. • Maximizing the use of automated systems to increase the efficiency of user activities and minimize costs. • Providing detailed analyses to identify opportunities for improvement and appropriate restructuring of procedures, systems, and workflows to facilitate efficiencies. • Working with Revenue Cycle Directors to identify and implement solutions resulting in more efficient workflows in all phases of the revenue cycle, including registration, coding, claims generation, and remittance. • Maintaining a working knowledge of all Revenue Cycle functions, to aid in process improvement. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent knowledge and skills obtained through a combination of education, training, and experience in a Healthcare environment required. Five (5) years relevant experience in a challenging healthcare environment preferred. Experience in business office information system management in an acute or ambulatory care setting preferred. Experience with Windows application systems and Microsoft Office Suite. Professional demeanor and excellent public relations skills. Proven ability to successfully work in a matrix team environment that presents significant change and tight timeframes. Proponent for change and demonstrates a continuous improvement mindset, ingenuity, and innovative thinking and organizational skills. Advanced medical terminology and health insurance background.
