Job Summary The Lucas Museum of Narrative Art is seeking a (Junior) Business Systems Administrator to support critical business applications and operational readiness efforts as the museum prepares for opening. This role will focus on application administration, user support, system configuration, documentation, and operational support across retail, venue management, volunteer management, and related enterprise systems. The position is ideal for a technology professional with experience supporting business applications in retail, hospitality, special events, venue management, museums, entertainment, or similar customer‑facing environments. The successful candidate will work closely with museum stakeholders to ensure systems are configured properly, users have the access they need, and day‑to‑day operations run smoothly during a critical launch period. Key Responsibilities Administer business applications supporting museum operations, retail, events, and volunteer programs. Create, modify, and maintain user accounts, security roles, and system permissions. Configure application settings and support ongoing system maintenance. Troubleshoot application issues and serve as a point of contact for end‑user support. Develop and maintain system documentation, workflows, operating procedures, and knowledge‑base materials. Support testing, rollout activities, and operational readiness initiatives. Coordinate with vendors, internal stakeholders, and technical teams to resolve issues and support business processes. Monitor business workflows and help ensure data is flowing appropriately between connected systems. Assist with the transition from system implementation activities to day‑to‑day operational support. Required Qualifications 1–3 years of experience supporting business applications, SaaS platforms, or enterprise systems. Experience managing user accounts, permissions, system setup, or application administration. Strong documentation and organizational skills. Foundational understanding of databases, system relationships, and data flows. Strong communication skills with the ability to work across technical and non‑technical teams. Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment with shifting priorities and evolving processes. Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting retail, hospitality, venue management, special events, museum, entertainment, or customer‑facing business operations. Familiarity with eCommerce, point‑of‑sale, inventory, or event management platforms. Experience with user onboarding, access administration, and application support. Knowledge of workflow documentation and process improvement. Experience with the following systems is helpful but not required: Shopify, Square, Momentus Elite, GivePulse, other venue management, event management, retail, CRM, or volunteer management platforms. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this contract position is $35.00–$40.00 per hour.
