The Business Systems Analyst at Royal is responsible for analyzing, designing, and improving business processes to enhance efficiency and align with organizational goals. This role supports continual improvement through the analysis of existing, proposed, and missing business processes and inter-department interactions. It involves collaborating with Business Process Owners (BPOs), stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to implement process improvement initiatives, monitor effectiveness, and ensure operational excellence. The analyst leverages knowledge of business structure, networks, databases, and other technology—along with AI and MES capabilities—to formulate and execute successful strategic change across the organization. Engage the Royal Leadership team regarding identified potential process improvements, facilitate discussion on the merits/value of prospective improvements, and prioritize those on which to move forward. Engage with cross-functional teams of employee owners in development of innovative solutions and enhancements around business needs and in support of customer, company, and departmental goals. Develop, scope, and manage change projects, including the ability to perform stakeholder analysis, requirements engineering, cost benefit analysis, process modeling, and management of timelines, budgets, and priorities. Drive adoption of diagnostic, prescriptive, and predictive analytics in support of company, department, and personal goals. Communicate effectively, translating data, findings, and suggestions from a high-level technical language into information that stakeholders can understand, and vice versa. Support the company through the strategic utilization of data, metrics, and processes. Connect and interface with outside software, support, and solutions providers as applicable. Provide backup support for Business Intelligence initiatives, including reporting and documentation. Maintain and ensure the legal use of software through appropriate licensing and copyright compliance. Maintain a regular and reliable schedule as set by the supervisor according to handbook guidelines. Abide by all safety, quality, regulatory, personnel, and other policies as applicable. Marginal Work Requirements Specification testing per customer and certification requirements. Complete all necessary paperwork. Perform other duties as assigned for the good of the department and company. Work Qualifications Formal education: Bachelor’s Degree in a related field. Experience: Minimum 5 years in a role relating to business process design, analysis, and implementation; use of Azure Boards or similar software development management tools in a similar role (implementation experience preferred, but not necessary); Project Management Computer Skills: Microsoft Office, Business Intelligence Solutions, SQL Server, Azure Cloud Services, SharePoint, Power BI Certificates and Licenses: Professional certificates are requested but not required. Ability to communicate professionally with coworkers and vendors, including strong written skills required to document process, scope, and clarity. Highly productive, organized, and driven to grow. Successfully identify the need for, and work to implement change throughout the organization utilizing process improvement methodologies such as Six Sigma, Lean, Agile, Scrum, Constraints Management, or others. Flexibility This position is eligible to be performed in a hybrid remote arrangement. While project workloads may require more or less on a short-term basis, we estimate this position to be approximately 40 percent remote. More on-site time will be needed in the early stages. Compensation The compensation package offers $76-105k base, depending on experience, and an array of benefits, including participation in Royal’s Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP).
