ABOUT THE ROLE

The firm is seeking an experienced Real Estate Attorney to join its Real Estate practice group. This role is well-suited for a dedicated professional with a strong background in community association law and real estate matters.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Draft, review, and update community association documents, including amendments, board resolutions, meeting notices, and architectural guidelines.
  • Interpret and analyse relevant statutes, such as Chapter 718, Chapter 720, Chapter 617, and related Florida Administrative Codes.
  • Stay current on community association laws, case law developments, and industry trends.
  • Participate in membership meetings, board meetings, and elections.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis to interpret governing documents and advise on compliance.
  • Advise clients on operational issues, such as violations, maintenance responsibilities, and general association matters.
  • Support the litigation team by representing and negotiating on behalf of clients in pre-suit mediation, arbitration, and litigation.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Active membership in the Florida Bar in good standing.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a high work ethic.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage, prioritize, and meet deadlines for multiple assignments.
  • Service-oriented approach, sound business judgment, and practical problem-solving skills.
