This role is perfect for someone who thrives in 2nd line support, enjoys working across data and business systems, and values operational excellence over pure development.What you’ll be doingYou’ll act as the vital link between 1st line support, technical teams, vendors and business users, ensuring our core systems remain stable, accurate and well-supported.Your time will typically be split as follows:60% troubleshooting and resolving tickets20% building and improving our documented knowledge base20% stakeholder engagement and relationship managementWhat you will be responsible for:Providing 2nd line support across core business and ERP systemsInvestigating incidents related to data integrity, workflows, integrations and accessPerforming data corrections, reconciliations and bulk updatesEscalating and tracking defects with 3rd line teams and vendorsMonitoring system integrations and resolving failuresSupporting and improving use of the IT service management platformCreating and maintaining support documentation and knowledge articlesIdentifying recurring issues and driving continuous improvementBuilding strong relationships with business teams to support system adoptionAssisting with small change requests, testing fixes and minor enhancementsWhat we’re looking forYou don’t need to know everything on day one - curiosity, adaptability and a strong support mindset are just as important.Experience & skills:Hands-on experience supporting ERP or enterprise business systems (e.g. Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O)Understanding of core business processes (finance, sales, inventory, HR, etc.)Experience with incident management and service request toolsExposure to data analysis, reconciliation and data quality managementFamiliarity with ITIL principles and ticketing platforms (e.g. FreshService)Exposure to platforms such as D365, Concur, Bynder, Prophix, HighQ, Microsoft Fabric (or similar) is a bonusSoft skills that matter here:Confident communicator who can explain technical issues to non-technical usersStrong problem solver with an analytical, improvement-focused mindsetComfortable working with stakeholders at all levelsCollaborative team player who enjoys shared ownership of outcomesWell organised, proactive, and able to juggle a varied workloadWhy join Alliance?A role focused on support quality, data accuracy and continuous improvementExposure to a broad technology ecosystem across the businessSupportive team culture with real opportunities to learn and growHybrid working with a strong on-site and remote balanceGreat benefits including a competitive salary, up to 25% bonus potential, up to 10% employer pension contribution, BUPA, Life Assurance, Cycle and Electric car schemes, etcWork life balance - 25 days holiday, plus celebration and volunteering days, and option to buy an additional 10 holiday days!!
