About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Operations Leader to join our executive leadership team within our manufacturing organization. This pivotal role is responsible for overseeing the operations of a business unit, driving performance improvements, and ensuring the achievement of our strategic goals. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in operational leadership, financial management, and strategic planning, with a proven ability to foster growth and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Management

  • Oversee daily operations to achieve production targets, maintain quality standards, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Manage Profit & Loss (P&L) statements, driving revenue growth, controlling costs, and ensuring overall profitability.
  • Develop and execute business plans that enhance growth, efficiency, and operational excellence.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by focusing on quality and timely delivery of products.

Strategic Leadership

  • Provide strategic direction aligned with the company’s overall goals.
  • Analyze market trends and competitor strategies to identify and capitalize on growth opportunities.
  • Develop scalable operational frameworks to support dynamic business environments.

Continuous Improvement

  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean or other methodologies to enhance operational efficiency, reduce costs, and improve product quality.
  • Identify areas for improvement and spearhead projects to boost productivity, minimize waste, and increase efficiency.

Team Leadership and Development

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a diverse team, providing coaching, performance management, and professional growth opportunities.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performing work environment.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate with departments such as Finance, Supply Chain, Engineering, and Sales to ensure seamless operations and alignment with company objectives.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.

Compliance and Safety

  • Ensure adherence to safety and environmental policies across all operations.
  • Enforce safety regulations and promptly address any safety issues.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Willingness to travel and work at different locations during the first six months as needed.
  • Support the scaling up of business operations and contribute to the development and implementation of growth plans.

Requirements

Qualifications

  • Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
  • MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred.
  • Experience:
  • 10+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment with a strong track record in operations leadership and achieving business objectives.
  • Experience in custom manufacturing is a plus.
  • Prior experience in scaling up a business is highly desirable.
  • Skills:
  • Strong strategic thinking and the ability to drive growth and identify new market opportunities.
  • Proven expertise in P&L management and financial performance.
  • Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop high-performing teams.
  • Proficient in Lean or other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical abilities.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
