The mission for this position is to fulfill daily parts requests and stock inventory at appropriate levels through the issuance of requisitions and purchased orders and to ensure timely arrival of parts to support maintenance, plant and fabrication department needs.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate and prioritize daily parts requests, requests for quote inquiries, manage purchase orders, monitor and follow up with vendors on past due orders, resolve invoice discrepancies from vendors with accounts payable department.
• Review stocking levels for assigned products and place requisitions and purchase orders to appropriately stock the warehouse.
• Work with technical specifications and part numbers to properly identify and order required parts.
• Enter data into inventory system, working with technical specifications, research, and part number identification.
• Order fulfillment and coding of materials, scheduling delivery-supporting maintenance, plant and fabrication departmental needs.
• Process requisitions daily.
• Process goods received daily.
• Assist with inventory and cycle counts.
• Process parts returns and warranties.
• Contact vendors with discrepancies with quantity and quality.
• Provide excellent customer service.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• This position has been identified as holding responsibility for food safety and quality of the company. This responsibility extends over all shifts.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• 3-5 years of buying experience.  We will accept any combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
• Applicants with purchasing knowledge of semi-tractor/trailer and farm implements preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills a must.
• Bilingual in Spanish/English preferred but not required.
• Forklift Certified – tests to be given upon employment with Stahlbush Island Farms Inc.
