The Buyer will primarily be responsible for the supplier management and buying of retail IP products. This role will primarily focus on product merchandising and cost saving/budgeting for our various brands of Retail IP. This position will also help research market trends and work with the Product Merchandising Manager to implement solutions to maximize sales at our retail locations. To ensure this, the following are some of the essential duties. Duties Create purchase orders and manage purchase record sheets. Compiling sales data for different retail brands and products. Maintaining inventory and allocating products to retail stores. Prepare sales and product analysis to provide insight into better markets and product selection. Analyze the sales performance and sell-through and inventory for each location. Ordering and purchasing from suppliers. Manage vendor relationships and be point of contact with external suppliers. Supplier Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, negotiating pricing, lead times, and service agreements. Identify and implement cost‑saving initiatives, negotiate discounts, and optimize supply chain processes. Forecast for future demand for the company’s goods and services to help the company make better decisions about purchasing and inventory. Research and maintain awareness of market trends. Work closely with the Merchandising Manager to align purchasing strategy with company goals. Prepare weekly and monthly reports on purchases, cost, and vendor performance. Other ad hoc tasks as directed by supervisor. Experience Degree and background in Finance, Economics, Business, Mathematics, etc. Previous experience working in merchandising as a buyer. Experience in B2B environments is highly desirable. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with an emphasis on direct sales techniques. Proficiency in using CRM software and Microsoft Excel for data analysis. A proactive approach to problem‑solving with a strong attention to detail. Ability to travel, up to 25%. Bonus Nice‑to‑Haves Conversational/Business Level Japanese. Retail store working experience.
