Our client is a contract medical device manufacturer that serves as a strategic partner in medical device manufacturing, offering an end-to-end supply chain solution from initial concept and product development, to verification and validation testing, to final production, assembly, and ongoing strategic demand planning.
Title: Buyer Planner
Work Location: Warrendale, PA, 15086
Duration: 5 Months
Job Type: Contract
Work Type: Onsite
Shift: Monday- Friday 9.00AM-5.00PM

Job Description:
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND RESPONSIBILITES:
  • Places and expedites purchase orders (POs); maintains and updates systems and documentation
  • Reviews ERP system for recommended buys and evaluates requirements and follows up on ERP recommendations for PO schedule changes
  • Communicates with internal departments to meet business goals for on time delivery
  • Responsible for tracking late deliveries and negotiating returns on defective materials
  • Assist in new part setups. location changes, and data maintenance
  • Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Demonstrated Ability to work well with others
  • Ability to think strategically while remaining focused on details
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite.
  • MRP Experience
  • Experience working with cross-functional project teams
  • Highly motivated, Positive attitude
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Must be able to think independently, solve difficult problems, and achieve goals
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 1 year of purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment
