Advanced Practice ProviderThe APP is responsible for providing health care to patients in the hospital or office setting. Works in consultation, cooperation, and coordination through a collaborative physician. Functions according to the established standards and practices of medicine for Advanced Practice Nurse/Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the State of Texas.Minimum Education:Master's DegreeMinimum Work Experience:No previous experienceRequired Licenses/Certifications:BSN; MSN; ANP licensed in the state of Texas; or PA licenseBLSRequired Skills; Knowledge; and Abilities:Knowledge of medical practices, terminology, and reimbursement policiesThorough knowledge of patient triage, diagnosis, and evidenced-based careKnowledge in overcoming barriers from diagnosis to treatment including: financial/economic; language/culture; transportation issuesSkill in planning, organizing, delegating, and supervisingSkill in evaluating the effectiveness of existing methods and proceduresSkill in problem solvingSkill in verbal and written communicationSkill in speaking engagements and other activities that raise awareness to diseases and disease processesAbility to read, interpret, and apply policies and proceduresAbility to set priorities among multiple requestsAbility to interact with patients, medical and administrative staff, and the public effectively
