Mobile Health Team Inc., a staffing agency has an opening for a Permanent Full Time Physical Therapist. We are looking for someone with a passion for people.

Location: Avalon, CA, 90704

Assignment Start Date: 2/1/2025

Shift: M-F 8-5 with few exceptions

Facility Salary: $118,500.00 to $145,600.00

** 3 months of company housing provided to offset moving expenses. Further housing will be available at market rates. Benefits include a $250/month travel stipend.

Provides physical therapy services for Acute care patients, Skilled Nursing Unit Residents, and Outpatients.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Evaluates patient needs, and establish physical therapy treatment plans and goals for each patient. Carries out prescribed treatments as ordered by the physician.
• Documents patient treatment and reports patient's progress to the prescribing physician.
• Participate in patient and family education. Participates in patient care conferences.
• Assists department manager in performing Quality Measures and monitors department problems.
• Responsible for observing departmental policies and procedures.
• Responsible for care of the facility and equipment related to the P.T. Department
• Maintains professional standards regarding treatment procedures and ethics.
• Maintains the safety of property and patients under treatment.
• Assists department manager in assessing department staffing needs.
• Maintains all departmental records per department policies.
• Assists department manager in estimating the needs of the department and ordering supplies and equipment when needed.
• Assist in the Therapy Department's new-hire training.

ORGANIZATIONAL FUNCTIONS

• Be compliant with organizational policies and procedures and related departmental procedures.
• Follow all HIPAA regulations as outlined in the HIPAA Policy and Procedure Manual.
• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Excellent customer service skills for both inter and intra departments.
• Other duties as assigned by the physicians and Supervisor.
• Other general administrative duties and projects as assigned.

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATION

Experience:

• Minimum of one year of experience as a practicing Physical Therapist

Education:

• Graduation from a School of Physical Therapy approved by the Council of Medical Education of the American Medical Association is required

Licenses, Certifications, and/or Registration:

• Possession of a valid license to practice Physical Therapy issued by the State of California Department of Consumer Affairs, Physical Therapy Board.

Housing: Housing is a studio apartment and is offered at $200 per week paid for by the traveler. There is a $200 non-refundable cleaning fee. Boat Tickets are provided at the ferry ticket counter. No personal automobiles are allowed on the Island.
