Job Description (JD):
- Experience with the design and manufacture of cable products
- Knowledge of wire and cable components/construction (conductors, plating, stranding, insulation, lay lengths, shielding, jackets, etc.)
- Create prototypes and conduct performance testing to validate harness designs.
- Knowledge of cable electrical characterization: capacitance, inductance, resistance, attenuation, characteristic impedance, skew, etc
- Knowledge of cable test procedures and equipment to test for attenuation, impedance, capacitance,
- Assemblies: Ability to support custom cable design, strain relief designs
- Familiar with assembly test equipment
- Skilled in the use of SolidWorks and AutoCAD
- Work with document control to ensure all updates are performed on manufacturing documentation, including bills of material, routings, work instructions, product drawings, and process sheets.
- Troubleshooting cable assemblies and defining current issues/root causes.
- Experience with wire routing is required.
- EMI/EMC Skills
