Job Description

A leading physical security and cabling company is seeking a skilled and experienced Cabling Technician / Camera Installer / Access Control Technician to join our team. We specialize in providing cutting-edge physical security solutions, including CCTV cameras, access control systems, and structured cabling, to our clients in various industries, such as Government, commercial and industrial.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform cabling and wiring tasks, including pulling, routing, terminating, and testing various types of cables, such as coaxial, Ethernet, and fiber optic.
  • Install and configure CCTV cameras, access control systems, and related physical security equipment at client sites in New Jersey and surrounding areas.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with physical security equipment and cabling infrastructure and provide timely and effective solutions.
  • Collaborate with project managers, other technicians, and clients to ensure successful project completion and customer satisfaction.
  • Follow industry best practices, safety guidelines, and company policies and procedures while working on job sites.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent on each job, and submit reports to the supervisor as required.
  • Stay up to date with the latest advancements in physical security technology, industry trends, and relevant codes and regulations.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in installing and configuring CCTV cameras, access control systems, low voltage wiring and related physical security equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of cabling standards, including coaxial, Ethernet, and fiber optic.
  • Familiarity with IP-based security systems and networking concepts.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to work at heights, lift heavy objects, and work in various weather conditions.
  • Must pass a background check and drug screening, in accordance with local law and regulations
