Reporting to the Head of Engineering Office, your role includes:1️⃣ Leadership & Team ManagementLead and structure the CAD function across all engineering disciplinesSupervise local and offshore CAD designers/draftersProvide technical coaching and foster a culture of quality and constructibilityStrengthen collaboration between CAD teams and engineering leads2️⃣ CAD Deliverables OwnershipEnsure on-time delivery of all CAD deliverables (IFR, IFD, IFC, As-Built)Validate 3D models, layouts, isometrics, fabrication drawings, support drawingsEnsure compliance with CAD/BIM standards, templates, libraries, and naming conventionsCoordinate closely with QA/QC, Project Management, and Document Control3️⃣ CAD Production FlowManage weekly workload plans and project backlogsAssign tasks based on expertise and project prioritiesMonitor progress, anticipate bottlenecks, and secure continuous production flowImplement efficient file structures, versioning, and change management4️⃣ Quality Assurance & Continuous ImprovementImplement quality gates and review processesReduce rework through standardization and lessons learnedImprove CAD standards, libraries, and procedures5️⃣ Offshore Team SteeringDefine work packages and instructions for offshore teamsLead daily/weekly alignment ritualsMonitor quality and ensure seamless integration with local teams6️⃣ Cross-Functional CollaborationWork closely with Project Managers, Construction, Procurement, Prefab/Module Shop, BIM, and QA/QCParticipate in constructibility and model coordination workshopsSupport engineering teams with drafting/modelling for complex challengesAct as key CAD interface with suppliers and external partners7️⃣ KPI ManagementTrack productivity, rework rates, offshore performance, and on-time deliveryProvide regular reporting to Engineering and Project ManagementUse KPIs to drive continuous improvementYOUR PROFILE :BackgroundEngineering degree in Mechanical, Electromechanical, HVAC/Piping or equivalent10–15+ years of detailed design experience3–7 years of CAD/Design team leadershipStrong knowledge of CAD/BIM 3D modelling, engineering documentation, and constructibilityTechnical SkillsSolidworks, Solidworks PDM / 3DExperienceAutoCAD 2D, Plant 3D, Navisworks ManageKnowledge of CAD standards, libraries, templates, naming conventionsAbility to troubleshoot complex models and drawingsMultidisciplinary coordination (Piping, E&I, HVAC, MEP, Supports)LanguagesFrench: FluentEnglish: FluentNice to HaveExperience in modular data centers, energy, or oil & gasExperience with CAD/BIM automation (Dynamo, Lisp, Python)Understanding of engineering calculations and interfacesWHY JOIN VERDON ?Work on innovative and complex industrial projectsLead a strategic function in our Engineering OfficeCollaborate in a dynamic EPC environment with local & international teamsShape and elevate CAD standards across the company Interested?Apply directly !Join Verdon and help us build high-quality industrial solutions through CAD excellence!
