We are seeking a Calibration Technician to join our team at Cal-Labs, an Aldinger Company.

Join our team and become a crucial part of our mission to provide accurate and reliable calibration services to our clients. 

Location: On-site at various customer sites in La Mirada and Surrounding Areas. With minimal overnight travel (3 overnight trips, 3 times a year).  

Day to Day Responsibilities: 

  • Complete accurate and timely calibrations on customer sites. 
  • Perform routine and complex calibration on a wide variety of equipment per company processes and instruction documentation.  
  • Perform calibration of a variety of devices and instruments in accordance with established procedures and standards. 
  • Working directly with the client throughout the calibration process from the first onsite touch point to completion of the project, including good communication to provide client updates on services needed 
  • Ensure all calibration activities comply with industry regulations and quality standards. 
  • Maintain calibration records and documentation, ensuring all data is accurate and up to date. 
  • Interact professionally with customers, providing excellent service and support. 
  • Communicate with customers throughout the process and provide status updates  

You will be successful in this role if you: 

  • Have the ability to learn mechanical and technical skills quickly 
  • Can adapt to multiple different work environments and settings  
  • Are customer-oriented with excellent communication skills. 
  • Are a person who is punctual, respectful, and honest with a positive attitude 
  • Have excellent attention to detail 
  • Have a strong work ethic 

Requirements

Basic Qualifications: 

  • Technical knowledge or background 
  • Excellent attention to detail, and ability to perform precise procedures consistently 
  • Able to lift 100 lbs  
  • Able to climb, kneel, drive and stand for long periods of time 
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word 
  • Excellent customer service skills 
  • Good organizational and prioritization skills 
  • Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record 
  • Ability and willingness to travel to customers’ locations in the La Mirada, CA area  

Nice to have: 

  • 1+ years of Calibrations experience 
  • Knowledge of principles, procedures, methods and techniques in metrology gained through education, or professional experience  
  • Knowledge and experience with Electrical, Physical, and/or Mechanical Calibration of equipment 
  • Experience working with Hardness Testers, Metallurgical Scopes/TMM, Optical Comparators, Super Micrometers and/or Surface Plates 
  • Associate's Degree in Engineering, Electronics or other Technical Fields 
  • Technical Degree or Certificate 
  • Military PMEL Training 
  • Metrology experience 
  • Experience with IndySoft
