Salary: $ 65,000.00

We have partnered with a non-profit organization in the Anderson County, TX area to provide them with a Camp Director. Please review the description below and let us know if you are interested.

Prioritized Must Have Skills for the Camp Director:

#1. Bachelors degree in recreation, environmental education, youth development, natural resources, public or business administration, or related field preferred

#2. 5+ years professional management experience in recreation, camp, outdoor education, youth programming, hospitality, or related field, with site operations experience preferred

#3. Experience supervising staff and providing dynamic leadership to teams

#4. Experience with diverse audiences and working with youth

#5. Experience managing a budget

#6. Highly comfortable in an equestrian setting

Requirements of the Camp Director:

• 5+ years professional management experience in recreation, camp, outdoor education, youth programming, hospitality, or related field, with site operations experience preferred
• Bachelor's degree in recreation, environmental education, youth development, natural resources, public or business administration, or related field preferred
• Passion for outdoor activities
• Experience working with youth and diverse audiences.
• Experience supervising staff and providing dynamic leadership to teams
• Experience managing a budget
• Highly comfortable in an equestrian setting
• Experience teaching or facilitating groups
• Demonstrated project management skills
• Highly organized
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrate and promote a climate of courtesy, respect and professionalism to coworkers, the volunteers served by this council, and others with whom this job puts them in contact.
• Upon employment, employee must register as an adult member in the organization.
• Attendance is an essential job requirement defined as having regular, consistent, reliable, punctual and predictable attendance including the ability to work regular hours and shifts, before and after hours, and on weekends, when required.

Other Key Requirements for the Camp Director:

• Must complete and pass a criminal background check.
• Obtain and maintain first aid/CPR certification
• No sponsorships or visa holders. No Corp-to-Corp.
