This summer Camp Helen Brachman is hiring staff from around the world. We seek adults who are passionate about working with youth and want to make a positive difference in each campers life. We seek a positive attitude, willingness to give everything youve got, willingness to put your own needs aside to meet the needs of campers and other staff, flexibility and a sense of fun. Our camp programs are designed to provide opportunities for low-income, inner-city youth to enjoy a rural habitat, enjoy and learn about nature, try new adventures, and learn skills necessary to meet future endeavors.

- All CHB employees must be 18+ by August 10, 2023
- All employees must pass a background screening prior to working with our children
- Applicant must be a strong swimmer and must hold current or receive Lifeguard Certification, which includes First Aid/CPR/AED for adult & child prior to the start of summer (CHB offers this course for potential staff upon June 1, 2023 arrival)
- Waterfront/Lifeguard Counselors are assigned a group of campers and a specific cabin/session to assist with camper supervision.
- This position is a SUMMER ONLY position. It is full-time during the summer and requires staff to live on-site throughout the whole program.
- Room and board is included while camp is in session.
- Responsibilities include working with youth ages 8 17 years of age in small and large groups.
- Supervise camp waterfront activities while assiting in the management of the physical operation of the waterfront facilities and equipment.
- Ensures the health and safety as well as positive outcome management of staff and campers time at camp. Assists in camp operations working with camp directors.
