Capacity Sales Manager Apply
The Capacity Sales Manager will play a critical role in expanding Nova Lines' market presence by selling our truck capacity to shippers. This position is responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, understanding their transportation needs, and delivering tailored solutions that align with our service offerings. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a strong sales background in the logistics and transportation industry, capable of driving growth and building lasting partnerships.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a sales strategy to sell truck capacity to shippers, focusing on maximizing revenue and market share.
- Identify and target potential clients within the industry, leveraging market intelligence and industry networks.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with shippers, understanding their unique needs and providing customized transportation solutions.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients, ensuring acceptable terms for both parties.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including operations and management, to ensure seamless service delivery and client satisfaction.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify new business opportunities and stay ahead of the competition.
- Prepare and present sales reports, forecasts, and market analysis to management.
- Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to promote Nova Lines and expand business opportunities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience in sales within the transportation, logistics, or trucking industry.
- Strong knowledge of truck capacity sales and transportation solutions.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in CRM software and other systems such as Carrier Source or ZoomInfo
- Willingness to travel as required.
