We are seeking a hands-on Capital Projects Manager to support sustaining capital, brownfield, maintenance, and facility improvement projects within an active industrial manufacturing / terminal / refinery environment. This role will focus on managing multiple small-to-mid-sized projects ranging from approximately $50K to $500K under live operating conditions. The ideal candidate will have strong field execution experience, contractor coordination skills, and the ability to deliver projects safely, on schedule, and within budget. This is not a mega-project EPC leadership role — the client is looking for a practical, site-focused project manager who is comfortable handling fast-paced sustaining capital and operational improvement projects long term. Key Responsibilities Manage sustaining capital and brownfield projects from scope development through construction closeout Coordinate engineering, procurement, construction, maintenance, and operations teams Support utility upgrades, piping modifications, tank repairs, facility improvements, maintenance projects, and operational upgrades Manage contractors, subcontractors, vendors, schedules, budgets, RFIs, change orders, and field execution activities Support project controls, cost tracking, forecasting, and schedule management Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, quality, and operational standards Conduct field walks, contractor meetings, progress reviews, and project status reporting Support commissioning, startup, turnover, and operational readiness activities Maintain strong communication with operations, maintenance, and plant leadership teams Required Qualifications 8–18 years of industrial construction or capital project experience Experience managing sustaining capital or brownfield industrial projects Strong field construction coordination and contractor management experience Experience supporting multiple concurrent projects in active operating facilities Knowledge of piping, mechanical, utilities, tanks, terminals, facilities, or industrial infrastructure projects Experience with project schedules, cost tracking, and forecasting Strong understanding of safety compliance and permit‑to‑work systems Excellent communication and stakeholder coordination skills Preferred Qualifications Experience in refinery, terminal, chemical, manufacturing, utilities, pipeline, or industrial environments Experience with Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project OSHA 30 Mechanical, Civil, Construction, or Engineering background preferred Experience supporting maintenance shutdowns, turnarounds, or operational facility upgrades Ideal Candidate Profile Hands‑on project manager comfortable working in the field Stable work history with interest in long-term site/project execution Comfortable managing smaller fast‑paced projects rather than mega‑project EPC programs Strong operational mindset with practical execution experience Team‑oriented with strong contractor and operations coordination skills #J-18808-Ljbffr
