We are seeking a hands-on Capital Projects Manager to support sustaining capital, brownfield, maintenance, and facility improvement projects within an active industrial manufacturing / terminal / refinery environment. This role will focus on managing multiple small-to-mid-sized projects ranging from approximately $50K to $500K under live operating conditions.
The ideal candidate will have strong field execution experience, contractor coordination skills, and the ability to deliver projects safely, on schedule, and within budget. This is not a mega-project EPC leadership role — the client is looking for a practical, site-focused project manager who is comfortable handling fast-paced sustaining capital and operational improvement projects long term.

Manage sustaining capital and brownfield projects from scope development through construction closeout
Coordinate engineering, procurement, construction, maintenance, and operations teams
Support utility upgrades, piping modifications, tank repairs, facility improvements, maintenance projects, and operational upgrades
Manage contractors, subcontractors, vendors, schedules, budgets, RFIs, change orders, and field execution activities
Support project controls, cost tracking, forecasting, and schedule management
Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, quality, and operational standards
Conduct field walks, contractor meetings, progress reviews, and project status reporting
Support commissioning, startup, turnover, and operational readiness activities
Maintain strong communication with operations, maintenance, and plant leadership teams
Required Qualifications
8–18 years of industrial construction or capital project experience
Experience managing sustaining capital or brownfield industrial projects
Strong field construction coordination and contractor management experience
Experience supporting multiple concurrent projects in active operating facilities
Knowledge of piping, mechanical, utilities, tanks, terminals, facilities, or industrial infrastructure projects
Experience with project schedules, cost tracking, and forecasting
Strong understanding of safety compliance and permit‑to‑work systems
Excellent communication and stakeholder coordination skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in refinery, terminal, chemical, manufacturing, utilities, pipeline, or industrial environments
Experience with Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project
OSHA 30

Experience supporting maintenance shutdowns, turnarounds, or operational facility upgrades
Ideal Candidate Profile
Hands‑on project manager comfortable working in the field
Stable work history with interest in long-term site/project execution
Comfortable managing smaller fast‑paced projects rather than mega‑project EPC programs
Strong operational mindset with practical execution experience
Team‑oriented with strong contractor and operations coordination skills
