Captain- Food & Nutrition Full-time, 40 hours Float position (1st and/or 2nd shifts) Barberton Campus Summary Performs various hospital food services duties (e.g., assembles, delivers, and retrieves patient trays, washes dishes, pots, carts, and service‑ware support; sets up, and serves customers in cafeteria). Provides the highest quality of service and respect to others at all times. Minimum Qualifications Formal Education Required: Ability to read, write, and perform basic math. Other Skills, Competencies and Qualifications: Must possess knowledge of and be in compliance with local, state, and federal food handling regulations (i.e., HACCP). Ability to assemble and pass trays. Demonstrates a helpful and pleasant behavior when communicating with visitors, hospital personnel, physicians and co‑workers. Population Specific Competency: Ability to effectively interact with populations of patients/customers with an understanding of their needs for self‑respect and dignity.
