Job Type: 13-week Contract | Days

Position overview

The Cardiac Cath Lab / Angio Technologist supports interventional cardiology and radiology procedures by providing high-quality imaging, maintaining a safe sterile field, and monitoring patients during invasive cardiac and peripheral vascular procedures. This day-shift contract role is ideal for an experienced ARRT-credentialed technologist who is comfortable in a fast-paced cath/angio environment and collaborating closely with physicians and nurses.

Key responsibilities
  • Assist physicians with cardiac catheterization and angiography procedures, including diagnostic and interventional cases such as angioplasty and stent placement.

  • Operate fluoroscopy and interventional imaging equipment to obtain optimal images while adhering to radiation safety principles.

  • Prepare patients and procedure rooms for invasive cardiac and vascular procedures, including positioning, prepping, and ensuring necessary supplies and devices are available.

  • Maintain strict sterile technique and aseptic practices throughout procedures, in accordance with hospital and cath lab policies.

  • Monitor patient status during procedures (vital signs, rhythm, and overall tolerance) and promptly communicate changes to the care team.

  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary team members to support safe, efficient workflow and high-quality patient care.

  • Document procedures, supplies, contrast use, and patient information accurately in EPIC or equivalent electronic health record systems.

Required qualifications & skills
  • ARRT RT(R) credential required.

  • Active, unencumbered Oregon Radiologic Technology license.

  • Current BLS (Healthcare Provider) certification.

  • AHA ACLS certification required (or obtained within typical facility timelines if allowed).

  • Minimum 1 year of hospital-based Cath Lab and/or Angio experience preferred, with competence in invasive cardiovascular and interventional imaging workflows.

  • Strong technical skills in interventional imaging, radiation safety, sterile technique, and patient monitoring, along with excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
