The Cardiac Cath Lab / Angio Technologist supports interventional cardiology and radiology procedures by providing high-quality imaging, maintaining a safe sterile field, and monitoring patients during invasive cardiac and peripheral vascular procedures. This day-shift contract role is ideal for an experienced ARRT-credentialed technologist who is comfortable in a fast-paced cath/angio environment and collaborating closely with physicians and nurses.
Key responsibilities-
Assist physicians with cardiac catheterization and angiography procedures, including diagnostic and interventional cases such as angioplasty and stent placement.

Operate fluoroscopy and interventional imaging equipment to obtain optimal images while adhering to radiation safety principles.

Prepare patients and procedure rooms for invasive cardiac and vascular procedures, including positioning, prepping, and ensuring necessary supplies and devices are available.

Maintain strict sterile technique and aseptic practices throughout procedures, in accordance with hospital and cath lab policies.

Monitor patient status during procedures (vital signs, rhythm, and overall tolerance) and promptly communicate changes to the care team.

Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary team members to support safe, efficient workflow and high-quality patient care.

Document procedures, supplies, contrast use, and patient information accurately in EPIC or equivalent electronic health record systems.

ARRT RT(R) credential required.

Active, unencumbered Oregon Radiologic Technology license.

Current BLS (Healthcare Provider) certification.

AHA ACLS certification required (or obtained within typical facility timelines if allowed).

Minimum 1 year of hospital-based Cath Lab and/or Angio experience preferred, with competence in invasive cardiovascular and interventional imaging workflows.

Strong technical skills in interventional imaging, radiation safety, sterile technique, and patient monitoring, along with excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
