Location: Maui, Hawaii

Salary: $175,000 – $200,000 per year (commensurate with experience)

Position Overview:

Hawaii Heart Associates is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate acute care cardiac nurse practitioner (NP) to join our cardiology team in Maui, Hawaii. This position consists of both inpatient and outpatient cardiac care working with both general cardiology and cardiothoracic surgery.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough cardiovascular assessments, diagnostic evaluations, and follow-up visits in both inpatient and outpatient settings
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians
  • Manage and monitor chronic cardiac conditions including heart failure, arrhythmias, hypertension, and coronary artery disease
  • Coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams, including hospitalists, primary care, and specialty providers
  • Educate patients and families on disease management, medications, and lifestyle modifications
  • Participate in hospital rounds and assist with transitions of care from hospital to clinic

Qualifications:

  • Current Hawaii Nurse Practitioner license (or eligibility to obtain)
  • Certification as an Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP) ideally with cardiology experience
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in cardiology or a related field preferred
  • Strong clinical judgment, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
