The Contra Costa Health Department is offering a temporary opportunity as a Cardiology Technician I, working 40 hours per week. This position will support inpatient and outpatient cardiology services, Holter/Event monitor, EKG, Stress Test, Nuclear Medicine, and other assigned duties. This position may work at different locations within Contra Costa County (Martinez, San Pablo or Pittsburg).
Minimum Qualifications:
Experience: One year of full-time experience, or its equivalent, in the operation of electrocardiograph machines and related equipment.
Substitution for Experience: A certificate of completion of an electrocardiography course issued by an accredited college or vocational school may be substituted for the experience.
Certification Required: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association, or CPR certification issued by the American Red Cross.
Temporary employment is defined as any employment in the Merit System which will require the services of an incumbent for a limited period of time, paid on an hourly basis, not in an allocated position or in permanent status.
