Location: Rosenberg, Texas
Schedule: Mon - Fri 8 AM - 5 PM & on-call for some weekends
About the Role
Right at Home Southwest Houston is seeking a proactive, highly organized Care Coordinator / Staffing Coordinator to lead our caregiver scheduling operations and support hiring efforts. This is a critical front-office role for someone who thrives in a dynamic, small-team environment and is willing to roll up their sleeves when needed.
While this is not a caregiver position, you should be willing to step in and cover a client shift only as a last resort to maintain quality care.
Key Responsibilities
Scheduling & Backup Management
- Create and maintain caregiver schedules using WellSky
- Anticipate needs and develop backup plans by ZIP code to avoid last-minute scrambles
- Rapidly fill open shifts and respond to call-outs or cancellations
- Match caregivers with clients based on skill, availability, and location
HR & Recruitment
- Post jobs, screen applicants, schedule interviews
- Run background checks, verify CNA licenses and references
- Help lead orientation and onboarding of new caregivers
- Keep digital and physical employee records organized and compliant
Communication & Support
- Serve as the main point of contact for caregivers regarding shift changes, policies, and urgent updates
- Ensure all messages are clearly communicated using text, phone, and our WellSky platform
- Monitor compliance
On-Call & Contingency Support
- Participate in rotating on-call schedule for evenings/weekends
- Be willing and able to step in as a caregiver only if no other solution is available
- Help protect the client experience by ensuring no shift is missed due to scheduling issues
Office Operations
- Support day-to-day office tasks as needed — supplies, reports, client folders, etc.
- Work closely with the owner and office staff to solve problems and keep the business moving
What We’re Looking For
- Coordination or Scheduling experience required (home care or healthcare setting preferred)
- CNA certification is a big plus, but not required
- Excellent multitasker, organizer, and communicator
- Tech-savvy: Proficient with scheduling tools like WellSky, Microsoft Office, and job platforms
- Solution-oriented mindset — calm under pressure and resourceful
- Someone who understands small team life — flexible, humble, and ready to hustle when needed
- Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
