You'll find a collaborative team of coworkers and providers, as well as consistent hours.This role offers:A great work/life balanceNo weekends or evenings Monday thru FridayPaid holidays and paid time offRapidly growing team with opportunities for advancementCompetitive compensationBenefits packageDuties you will be responsible for:Handle all administrative tasks and duties for the physician/providerServe as the liaison or coordinator for the patient's medical careStreamline all patient-physician communications to ensure patient satisfactionProvide medical literature and clinical preparation instructions to patientsAssist patients with questions and/or concerns regarding proceduresSchedule all procedures to be performed by the physicianReview the physicians schedule for maximum scheduling efficiencySchedule all diagnostic tests, procedures and follow-up appointmentsObtains all authorizations for procedures and testsSchedule follow-up appointments including recallsCheck-out patients at the end of their visit and provide next step instructionsLogging and tracking of resultsRequest medical records from doctors and hospitalsReturns patient calls promptly and professionallyObtain missing lab results, radiology, pathology as neededComplete tasks from electronic medical recordReviews in-box tasks dailyContact patients with test resultsReschedules appts as neededPrepare daily billing forms and hospital billing and upload to RCM teamOther duties as assignedAble to navigate a computer with ease.Minimum requirements:High school diploma or GED equivalentMinimum 1yr experience in a medical practice or similar setting.Bilingual in Spanish and/or Portuguese are a plus, but not required.Experience with Allscripts or Epic is a plus, but not required.We offer a comprehensive benefits package to our eligible employees:MedicalDentalVisionSpending accountsLife / AD&DDisabilityAccidentCritical illnessHospital indemnityLegalIdentity theftPet401(k) retirement plan with non-elective safe harbor employer contribution for eligible employeesDiscretionary profit-sharing with employer contributions of 0% - 4% for eligible employeesAdditionally, Gastro Health participates in a program called Tickets at Work that provides discounts on concerts, travel, movies, and more.Gastro Health is the one of the largest gastroenterology multi-specialty groups in the United States, with over 130+ locations throughout the country.
