We are seeking a compassionate and reliable caregiver to assist a male client in the UTC area of La Jolla, near UCSD. This role is for 12-hour shifts on Sundays and Mondays. The ideal candidate will enjoy engaging in conversation, walking, and driving the client to appointments. The client has a large, friendly dog, so comfort with pets is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist clients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility.
• Prepare meals and provide assistance with feeding if necessary.
• Perform light housekeeping tasks such as laundry, cleaning, and organizing.
• Provide companionship and emotional support.
• Monitor and report any changes in clients' physical or emotional health.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of clients at all times.

Requirements

• Cell phone with internet access

• Strong organizational & communication skills
• Ability to demonstrate empathy, patience, and compassion towards others
• Comfortable with pets and able to interact with a large, friendly dog.
• Ability to drive the client to appointments (valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required).
• Active Home Care Aide status (Unsure? We can show you how!)
• Proof of Negative TB results
