We’re currently seeking a full-time caregiver “Personal Assistant” for a fun-loving man who experiences developmental disabilities. He lives in his own house in Gladstone and is an active guy with a great sense of humor. He does most tasks independently. No lifting is required.
You’ll assist him as he pursues his interests, such as bowling, going on drives, and visiting the Humane Society. You’ll help prepare his meals, clean his home and keep track of daily activities. Also, you’ll provide structure and routine and help him manage his emotions. This position includes medicine management as well as food tracking.
You’ll work one shift for a total of 43 hours: Saturdays 7:00 PM - Mondays 2:00 PM.
*You’ll also work your regular hours on Agency holidays.

Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Be able to pass our pre-hiring screenings, including a reference check, a physical with a lifting test of 50lbs, and a criminal history background check.
- Driving on the job is optional but strongly preferred: must be at least 18 years old, have a current driver’s license, a reliable personal vehicle, at least two years of driving experience, auto insurance, and a clean driving record.
- Experience in the developmental disability field preferred, but not required.
Benefits
- $18.00 per hour. Annual wage increase based on satisfactory performance.
- Eligible for overtime pay for hours worked over 40 hours per week.
- Holiday pay (double pay for the first 12 hours of any agency holiday shift that you work).
