About Us:

Mildreds Helping Hands is a trusted and compassionate home care agency dedicated to supporting individuals with daily living needs across Indianapolis and surrounding counties. We are currently hiring caregivers to provide high-quality attendant care and home and community-based services to clients in their homes and in the community.

Job Summary:

As a caregiver, you will play a vital role in supporting clients with activities of daily living, mobility assistance, and engaging them in community and social activities. Youll help promote independence, safety, and quality of life for each individual you serve. We are seeking a caregiver local to Greencastle for a 3 hour morning shift 3-5 days a week. Client requires full care assistance and transfer assistance with a Hoyer lift. Experience or trainability required. Non smoker required per client request due to allergies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist clients with daily personal care (bathing, grooming, toileting, dressing, etc.)
  
  
• Provide mobility support, transfers, and positioning assistance
  
  
• Support clients with meal preparation and feeding if needed
  
  
• Perform light housekeeping tasks (laundry, cleaning, organization)
  
  
• Accompany clients to community outings, appointments, or errands
  
  
• Offer companionship and engage in meaningful activities
  
  
• Maintain clear documentation of services and client status
  
  
• Follow individualized care plans and report changes in condition

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
  
  
• Previous caregiving experience required
  
  
• Must be 18 years of age or older
  
  
• Reliable transportation and valid drivers license (if driving required)
  
  
• Able to pass a background check and drug screening
  
  
• CPR/First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain)
