Carpenter Full Time Hourly – Estimated pay range $25.50 to $27 depending on qualifications and experience Must be at least 18 years and older Position Description: As it pertains to the physical structure, equipment attached to said structure, and property, ensure that the Building’s façade and structure is kept in optimal performance doing so with daily supervision. To complete assigned work orders and repairs on any and all aspects of the building, with professionalism and consistency. Accurately designing and pricing out display construction projects and store remodeling, and completing approved projects in a timely manner while working as part of the team under the FM’s supervision. Working with whatever materials necessary to make repairs and complete installations as necessary. Assisting with other aspects of the department as the FM sees fit. Your day-to-day: Design, spec, price out and build displays in a timely manner as envisioned by the sales team Modify/ remodel the store in an effort to support sales goals Modify store foot print to accommodate seasonal sales aspects Repairs as necessary to any and all aspects of the physical building Shop maintenance and assisting the FM with any building related tasks as necessary What you bring to the team: Ability work and function within a TEAM environment; Ability to juggle multiple tasks; Flexibility in work schedule Examples of Daily Decision Making: To remodel or build a new display based on the current lay out and time frame To repair floor tiles or wall cladding on the existing structure Qualifications: Vocational/trade school degree and /or 3+ years of experience Knowledge of trades such as framing, trim carpentry, tile and finishing Familiar with operation of power tools, shop tools, miters and steel Proficiency in the use of Excel, Word, Internet research engines, Big Foot, OSHA 10 Certification Satisfy: Greet customers with a friendly smile and positive attitude, ensuring that each customer feels welcome and appreciated. Teamwork: Collaborate with team members to ensure the smooth operation of the store, offering assistance and support where needed. Excellence: Improve and maintain the efficiency of the store in order to reach success.
