Using the skills and efforts of thousands of volunteers, ASP provides home repair and replacement to low-income households in Central Appalachia.

About thePosition
The East Kentucky Case Management Coordinator is part of ASPs New Build and Disaster Recovery Program and reports to the East Kentucky Regional Director. TheCoordinatorplays a key role in managing homeowner communications, vetting applications, tracking pre-construction requirements, ensuring grant compliance, andfacilitatinglong-term housing and recovery services.
TheCoordinatorworks directly with applicants, homeowners, and community stakeholders to guide families through the program process, communicate timelines and requirements, and connect households with resources-supporting safe, stable homes whether through disaster recovery or critical repairs and home replacements.
This role ensures a consistent, in-person ASP presence in East Kentucky communities, supporting long-term recovery, community engagement, and preparedness for future housing challenges.
Job Responsibilities
Case Management & Client Engagement
- Guide applicants and homeowners through program processes, timelines, and requirements, ensuring transparency and clear communication.
- Maintainaccuratepaperand electroniccase files and documentation for each household, including intake, eligibility, and progress updates.
- Facilitate family vetting,selection, and onboarding, including contracts and customizable selections.
- Maintain a steady pipeline of homeowners ready for program participation through proactive outreach and communication.
- Collect andsubmithomeowner stories for fundraising, grant reporting, and social media purposes.
- Promote ASP programs to prospective applicants in compliance with fair housing regulations.
Program Management & Administration
- Manage, track, and oversee all homeowner communications, applications, pre-construction requirements, financial stipulations, and programmatic tasks.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of funding requirements, grant reporting obligations, timelines, and deadlines.
- Ensure compliance with ASPs quality standards and government regulations.
- Support program management and expansion across East Kentucky communities, adapting program parameters to meet local needs.
- Serve as a positive role model for staff and volunteers,demonstratingprofessionalism, accountability, and alignment with ASPs mission and values.
Grant Compliance & Financial Oversight
- Track and document grant compliance requirements, including income verification, construction standards, and environmental reviews.
- Assistwith grant research, reporting, and documentation to ensure funding requirements are met.
- Support financial tracking, budget adherence, procurement, and stewardship of materials and resources.
Training, Community Engagement & Pipeline Development
- Assistin administering homeowner education and training programs.
- Build andmaintainrelationships with volunteers, donors, contractors, stakeholders, and community partners.
- Collaborate with partner organizations to share relevant information andmaintaintransparency.
- Identifyand develop new outreach locations and partnerships to strengthen applicant pipelines.
Construction & Field Support
- Coordinate with program staff to ensure smooth operations across construction sites and program locations.
- Assistin pre-communication with volunteer groups, preparing them for their upcoming trip with details on stay, potential projects,etc
- Communicate effectively with staff, volunteers, vendors, and subcontractors tomaintainoperational continuity.
- Assistwith planning and execution of seasonal repair programs as needed.
Other Responsibilities
- Maintain program manuals, policies, and procedures.
- Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities.
- Adhere to ASPs mission, vision, values, and budget guidelines.
- Performadditionalduties as assigned to support the smooth operation of ASPs programs.
Qualifications
Required:
- Willingness to work in a Christian environment. ASP does notrequiremembership in or adherence to a specific denominational theology unless the job involves spiritual leadership. All other positions are open to individuals regardless of religious affiliation, provided they are comfortable working in a Christian environment.
- At least 1 year of experience in grant compliance, case management, or a related role.
- Proficiencyin Microsoft Office and other relevant databases.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team while relating empathetically to all demographics.
- Highly detail-oriented and capable of multitasking across diverse responsibilities.
Desired:
- Experience in nonprofit administration.
- Experience or certification in social work, behavioral health, or related fields.
- Knowledge of relevant regulations, quality standards, and human resources practices.
Other Requirements:
- Valid drivers license and driving record that is acceptable to ASPs insurer.
- Satisfactory results on a thorough background check.
