JOB TITLE

Disaster Recovery Case Manager

Will support disaster survivors by helping them navigate recovery. The role includes
assessing needs, developing personalized recovery plans, and coordinating
services from various federal, state and loc, local resources. The Case Manager acts
as a single point of contact for survivors and advocates for their recovery, ensuring
timely access to resources and services.
Pay 21.00 - 23.00 per hour
Fulltime hours with possible overtime, evening and weekends
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Conduct indepth assessments of disaster survivors to identify unmet needs
caused by the disaster
Collaborate with survivors to develop goal oriented recovery plans outlining the
steps required for their recovery
Refer survivors to local, state and federal services,including housing, food,
medical care financial counselling and employment support
Track the survivors progress toward meeting their recovery goals, ensuring timely
access to necessary services
Advocate on behalf of survivors to secure the assistance they need for recovery,
including housing and medical care
Maintain detailed recordes of case management activities and submit regular
reports to supervisors, ensuring compliance with program requirements
Work closely with disaster recovery center DRC, local agencies, and nonprofit
organizations to streamline services for survivors.
Participate in all required training programs related to disaster case management
, HIPAA, and related polices
Other duties as assigned by superviors

JOB QUALICATIONS

High School Diploma or equivalent
At least 1 year in case management, social work or disaster recovery case
management
Clean criminal record
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Must possess strong multitasking abilities, attention to detail, organizational skills
and documentation
Strong computer and common office skills, MS Office
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, sociology or other behavior science majors.
1 year of experience in providing services to families during crisis situations
1 year of experience in providing resources and referrals
