Job Description
The Cash Management Officer is responsible for business development and support of cash management services to business clients including the development of new cash management business, the expansion of existing business relationships and services for the needs of those clients. The primary responsibility of this position is to deepen relationships with clients by making relationship calls and assuring cash management services for business clients are met. Those services include business online banking, ACH services, Remote Deposit and other cash management offerings.
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- It is the responsibility of this person to determine the products that Home State Bank offers that will be part of the array of cash management products. This position will work with operations to assure all necessary product offerings are implemented and maintained with core banking system.
- In conjunction with the marketing department, this position will develop cash management product marketing material that will be used to help demonstrate and sell cash management products.
- Develop relationship development and referral strategies for the full array of cash management products. Work with the business bankers (commercial lenders) to develop prospects from HSB's existing commercial customer base.
- Responsible for customer contact with prospective clients for cash management products as well as supporting the commercial team with joint calls as necessary.
- Provide a high level of customer service by assuring that the products meet the customer's expectations. This position will act as a liaison between the customer and the operations area to make certain all customer needs are met with business online banking including all new set up documentation, risk assessment, exposure limit approvals, updating customer records ongoing, ACH training for customer, annual reviews with clients and all client scanner needs.
- Work as a team with Cash Management Specialist/Deposit Operations Specialist to provide back-up on setting up business online clients in the core banking system.
- Provide training to bank employees so all employees understand how to support the overall customer service and sales processes.
- Will open depository account for customers as needed ensuring that applicable regulations, disclosures, policies, and procedures are observed.
- Support customers and other bank employees with maintenance questions concerning customer accounts.
- Understand and comply with the related laws and compliance regulations that pertain to the position. Examples include bank secrecy and privacy acts.
- As part of the overall team of bank employees, this position may be requested to assist in the support of other bank activities.

EDUCATION AND SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Four year college degree or related experience.
- 3+ years of cash management or related experience.
- Continuous education and understanding of cash management products.
- This job requires skills needed in a typical office environment. This includes computer skills as well as utilization of office equipment.
