Responsibilities
- Investigate and assess claims related to casualty and liability events.
- Evaluate policy coverage, applicable laws, and adjust claims accordingly.
- Communicate with claimants, policyholders, and legal entities to gather information.
- Review and analyze medical records, accident reports, and other relevant documents.
- Negotiate settlements with claimants and legal representatives in a fair manner.
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of all claims and communications.
- Ensure compliance with state regulations and company policies throughout the claims process.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience in insurance or claims adjustment.
- At least 3 years of experience in casualty and liability claims adjusting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess complex situations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities for effective interactions.
- Proficiency in claims management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently and manage a caseload efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of accuracy.
