Your Role
The Bergdorf Goodman Category Management team is looking for a Category Specialist to support the growth of Bergdorf Goodmans digital business. The Category Specialist will assist the Category Director in analyzing and driving business performance, with the key objective of achieving business plans. This individual will also collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure delivery of BG merchandising plans and distinct brand POV. Additional components of the role include:
- Tracking performance of price types, divisions, and top brands and providing regular updates to leadership & internal stakeholders.
- Supporting creation of seasonal digital strategy to set direction for cross functional teams as well as creation of seasonal postmortem to feed next seasons strategy.
- Identifying in-seasons trends and subsequent actions: amplify areas with strong performance & diagnose / develop strategies to combat areas of weakness.
- Partnering with cross functional stakeholders including paid media, editorial, CRM, site merchandising, and analytics to drive performance and achieve business plans.
What you Bring
- 2+ years of relevant experience, luxury retail fashion preferred
- 4-year degree preferred
- Comfortable consolidating and analyzing data from multiple sources to deliver actionable insights and recommendations to drive business performance
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to effectively build and manage relationships
- Self-motivated with critical attention to details and deadlines
- Ability to manage multiple projects with competing demands for resources
- High proficiency with MS Office Product Suite, Adobe Analytics, and Tableau
