Job Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Catering Sales Coordinator to join our team at Inglewood Golf Club to enhance our club's member and private events. This role is vital to the successful planning and execution of events, and the ideal candidate will handle all facets of event coordination including menu planning, detail management, decoration, and overall event execution. This role involves coordinating golf tournaments and outings, weddings, business meetings, social gatherings, and club programming and activities. The successful candidate will manage event planning from conception through execution, ensuring memorable experiences for members and guests alike.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with members and clients to understand their event needs and preferences, offering expert advice on event planning.
  • Conduct site visit tours and present facilities to members and prospective clients, showcasing the venue and discussing layout options.
  • Prepare event proposals that align with member/client desires and budget, while maintaining the club's standards of quality.
  • Coordinate with the culinary team to create menus and ensure exceptional food presentation, quality, and seamless service.
  • Manage all event details including theme, decoration, seating arrangements, and entertainment options.
  • Prepare banquet event orders (BEO) and floorplans.
  • Negotiate contracts with members, clients, and vendors, ensuring all services are clearly outlined and agreed upon.
  • Monitor event activities to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and laws, club standards, and customer satisfaction.
  • Handle post-event evaluations, including gathering feedback from clients to improve services and resolving any issues that arose during events.
  • Maintain a detailed calendar of events and bookings, handling multiple projects simultaneously.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Minimum two years proven experience in catering sales, event planning, or a similar role, preferably in a private club or high-end hospitality environment.
  • Strong understanding of the various elements of event planning including food and beverage, dcor, and entertainment.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills; comfortable in client-facing situations.
  • High level of creativity and a keen eye for detail.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings as required by event schedules, with understanding a typical work week being Tuesday through Saturday.

Salary & Benefits:

  • $28-$30/hour, based on experience.
  • Comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, PTO, and holiday bonus in accordance with IGC employee manual.
  • Membership dues to National Association for Catering & Events (NACE).
  • Continuing Education opportunities as applicable.
