  • Shift: 10-hr Day | 07:00 AM - 05:00 PM
  • Job Type: Permanent
  • Guaranteed Hours: (40 hours/week)
  • Compensation: Based on experience (Negotiable)

Job Summary:

The Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (Cath Lab Tech), under general supervision, assists physicians in performing diagnostic and interventional procedures within the Cardiac Catheterization and Electrophysiology Labs. The technologist prepares the procedure room and equipment, ensures patient safety and comfort, monitors vital signs, and provides both routine and emergency care throughout procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist physicians during cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology (EP) procedures.
  • Prepare procedure rooms, equipment, and sterile trays according to established protocols.
  • Monitor patient vital signs and condition during procedures; promptly report changes to the physician.
  • Operate and maintain imaging and monitoring systems in the lab.
  • Provide emergency support as needed, including CPR and code response.
  • Document all procedures accurately in the electronic medical record.
  • Maintain compliance with radiation safety and infection control standards.
  • Participate in quality improvement and regulatory compliance initiatives.
  • Train and orient new staff members as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Associate's degree or 2 years of directly related experience above the minimum requirement.

Licensure / Certification (Required):

  • Basic Life Support (BLS): within 30 days of hire/transfer
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS): within 30 days of hire/transfer
  • Must hold one of the following credentials:
    • ARRT-R (Radiography) and MRT (Texas)
    • RCIS Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist
    • RCES Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist
    • CEPS Certified Electrophysiology Specialist
    • CCDS Certified Cardiac Device Specialist
