The Cath Lab Technologist plays a critical role in the cardiovascular catheterization laboratory, performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures with a focus on excellent patient care and efficient workflow. Key responsibilities include operating radiographic fluoroscopic equipment, assisting physicians, technologists, and nurses, and ensuring compliance with hospital and regulatory standards.
This position requires participation in call rotations and adherence to variable shift scheduling, fostering a cooperative, team-oriented environment. Scion Health values self-motivation, professionalism, and the ability to respond constructively to feedback.
Key DetailsWork Schedule:
- Shift: Monday Friday, 8-hour shifts (7:00 AM 3:30 PM)
- Call Schedule: Minimum of 8 shifts/month, including 1 2 weekends/month
- Call compensation: $4.00/hour
- Call-back pay: Minimum 2 hours at time-and-a-half
- Volume/Caseload: 30+ scheduled cases per week
- Procedures: TCAR, AAA, Peripheral Vascular, Pacemakers, Defibrillators, Right/Left Heart Cath, STEMI, and Stroke
Shift Differentials:
- Evening (3:00 PM 11:30 PM): 8%
- Night (11:00 PM 7:30 AM): 11%
- No weekend differential
- Certifications (one of the following):
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- Cardiovascular Technologist (CVT)
- Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS)
- Additional Certifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required on Day 1 or provided through the Learning Center
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required within 3 months of hire
- Experience:
- 1+ years in diagnostic/interventional procedures in cardiac or general catheterization labs
- 1+ years in digital and cine imaging/archiving
- Skills:
- Proficiency in X-ray, Monitoring, and Scrubbing
- Strong interpersonal skills to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Ability to receive and act on constructive feedback
- Flexibility to adapt to changing workloads and priorities
