EMJ is currently accepting applications for a CDL A Truck Driver in the Livonia, MI area. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of EMJ trucks and delivery of product.
CDL-A TRUCK DRIVER
$26.99 per hour, rate to increase as outlined in union contract.

DUTIES:
Responsible for safe and efficient operation of EMJ Trucks and delivery of product.
TRUCK DRIVER RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform daily visual safety inspection of truck.
Contact appropriate personnel for repair/replacement as necessary.
Take direction from management personnel for task assignments.
Observe loading of truck bed for safety and proper distribution of product on bed.
Communicate with other workers regarding specific material placement as necessary.
Participate in all quality, safety training and job certification requirements for this position.
Able to speak, understand, and communicate English language.
Maintain clean and safe work environment.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Must have valid CDL-A license and good driving record.
Secure product safely and appropriately on flatbed, by hand, utilizing blocks, straps, chains, tarps, pry bar, ratchet gears, etc.
Drive truck, utilizing steering wheel, pedals, clutch, and gear shift, to transport and deliver product or materials per work or routing orders.
Unstrap product to be offloaded at customer locations.
Re-secure remaining product, after delivery to customer completed.
Maintain radio contact with shipping department and/or supervisor to receive instructions as necessary.
Maintain records of materials and products transported and/or delivered.
May be required to assist customer in offloading product.
May be required to obtain customer signature or collect payments for product delivered as instructed.
