Job Summary
As a Roll-Off driver you will be responsible for preparing, securing and the transport of open top containers to various disposal sites which include landfills, transfer facilities and various customer jobsites. Drivers will need to navigate driveways, alleyways, job sites and traffic filled roadways. Sites may also entail operating in tight environments, backing up long distances such as private driveways as well as heavy industrial and crowded city environments. Drivers will be required to determine, to the best of their ability, which disposal site is to be used given the contents of the container.
Essential Functions
- Operate company vehicles to deliver and service containers in the local area.
- Perform pre- and post-truck inspections in accordance with the Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
- Follow assigned ticket routes and communicate hazards as needed.
- Work and drive in a safe, productive manner and always extend courteous and professional behavior.
- Ability to move or lift heavy objects more than 25 pounds.
Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a Roll-Off operator.
- Execute and maintain required logs to comply with local, state, and federal regulations as well as company policies and procedures.
- Ability to work independently with minimal or no supervision.
Required Licenses & Certifications
- Valid Texas A or B Commercial Drivers License
- Complete physical to obtain a valid Medical Card
- Safe driving record
Other
- Applicants must have a High School diploma or equivalent.
- Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
- As a part of the application and pre-employment process, applicants will need to successfully pass a background check and a hair analysis drug screen.
