Cdl Truck Driver Apply
The CDL truck driver operates commercial and large vehicles, dump trucks, snow plow, and common construction vehicles to make deliveries, complete assignments, and maintain County-owned roads and bridges.
Essential duties include monitoring loading and unloading of cargo; picking up and delivering cargo; inspecting vehicles and safety equipment operated to ensure working condition; maintaining log of activities and mileage; observing safety protocols and traffic laws; maintaining grounds, roads, and bridges in clean and orderly manner via mowing, pruning, removing snow and ice, trimming, and weeding; performing minor pest management; fertilizing lawns; ensuring plant upkeep; removing debris from catch basins, culverts, ditches, and drains; removing litter and debris from roadways; completing service requests; and must be available to work call-back, emergency call-out, extended shifts, as well as evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Requirements
Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or GED; active commercial driver's license for heavy vehicles (Class A) and active Pennsylvania driver's license clear of ineligible infractions; minimum of one year's directly related work experience in the operation of commercial and large vehicles, construction equipment, and maintenance work equipment; English language skills sufficient to communicate clearly with customers, understand operating manuals, and read traffic signs; knowledge of Pennsylvania transport regulations; and knowledge of vehicles operated and their parts sufficient to handle minor repairs on the road.
