Responsibilities Assist in ordering May assist in writing weekly Department schedule Identify and address high priority activities first Communicate clear expectations for assignments Delegate responsibility to appropriate Partners Provide excellent customer service Maintain operating effectiveness Ensure that all federal, state, and company regulations and standards for product freshness, safety, refrigeration, and sanitation are met Maintain standards in shrink, safety, and inventory control Assist in merchandising the department to maximize sales Use suggestive selling techniques to maximize sales The responsibilities and essential functions outlined above describe the general nature and level of work assigned to this position. Qualifications Work Experience: 5+ years (5-8 years) experience Previous retail/restaurant experience Knowledge of department product, food preparation, and equipment Extensive knowledge of specialty food products and food preparation is essential Strong customer service skills Passion for food Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Ability to work in fast paced environment Ability to work in extreme temperatures Required Education and Licenses/Certifications: Materials Handling Equipment certification Required Physical Demands & Working Conditions: Must be able to manage in excess of 25 lbs., up to 50 lbs.
