Job Summary

This position will provide back-up driving for the 2 full-time and 1 half-time driving positions. This position will also support all sections of the department, including meter operations, shipping parcels, sorting interoffice mail, folding/inserting of documents, OCR, and Ink Jet areas.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

ENGLISH

  • Sufficient to communicate effectively with customers and staff

CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILL

  • Ability to assist customers in a positive manner

COMPUTER SKILL

  • Basic computer knowledge to learn and operate necessary software
  • Data entry skills or experience sufficient to input data quickly and accurately

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Ability to transport up to 70 pounds
  • Ability to climb, bend, reach, carry, and push/pull
  • Ability to stand continuously for long periods of time
  • Ability to operate electric and manual pallet jacks, mailing machines, and other equipment necessary to perform job functions
  • Have a drivers license and ability to pass license check.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Dock truck experience
  • Knowledge of requirements for various mailing needs
  • Experience with mail processing using a metering machine or the use of a scale to weight and verify the cost of mail
  • Knowledge of postal rates and applications

Physical Requirements

A PRE-EMPLOYMENT PHYSICAL (CRT TEST REQUIREMENT MINIMUM IS LIGHT-MEDIUM, EX: ABLE TO LIFT 13-21 LBS FREQUENTLY 100-300 REPS AN HOUR).
