Position: Certified Home Health/Hospice Aide (CHHA)
Location: Newport Beach, CA
Job Summary:
The CHHA is responsible for providing personal care under the supervision of a registered nurse or therapist, observing and reporting patient conditions, and ensuring the safety and comfort of patients in a home setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform personal care and report observations.
Document care activities and comply with non-nursing practice guidelines.
Ensure continuity and safety in patient care.
Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
CHHA certification and BLS certification, both current and in good standing in California.
Registered on the Home Care Aide Registry, California.
Valid driver's license and insured, reliable vehicle.
Skills:
Proficiency in healthcare equipment, infection control, and patient and family sensitivity.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work with diverse populations and in stressful situations.
Training Requirements:
16 hours of classroom and 16 hours of practical training; an additional 75 hours for hospice roles.
This role is crucial for those comfortable with providing care in home settings, including end-of-life care, requiring empathy, respect, and compliance with healthcare standards.
Compensation: 20$ in/hour
