Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification and 1+ years Pharmacy Technician experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Support pharmacy operations as an Input Technician within a Long Term Care pharmacy environment, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all Federal and State regulations. This role offers flexibility with work-from-home, on-site, or hybrid options based in Mauston, WI, with equipment provided. You will contribute to a seamless medication dispensing process, collaborating closely with pharmacists, billing departments, and facility contacts.

Schedule & Location:

  • Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM 4:30 PM
  • Work from home with provided equipment, or on-site/hybrid if local and preferred
  • Long-term Care pharmacy setting
  • Full-time, 13-week contract to hire

Key Responsibilities:

  • Enter new orders and updates to patient profiles accurately from the queue
  • Identify and handle controlled substance requests according to policies
  • Troubleshoot insurance rejections and coordinate with billing as needed
  • Triage and prioritize orders and routes effectively
  • Communicate with facilities to retrieve missing information or notify about medication issues
  • Answer phone calls promptly within three rings
  • Notify Pharmacist about unfulfillable medication orders and follow up per protocols
  • Adhere strictly to the Absolute Check Policy to ensure patient safety
  • Relay updates to Back Counter staff
  • Provide professional customer service
  • Attend required meetings and trainings for continued compliance and development

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Strong working knowledge of Framework software (essential)
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • WI Pharmacy Technician License (CPhT) preferred
  • Prior pharmacy technician experience with strong clerical and typing skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and manage workload efficiently
  • Quiet workspace with high-speed internet for remote work
