Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification and 1+ years Pharmacy Technician experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A Long-Term Care pharmacy is seeking a detail-oriented Input Technician to support its Input Department operations in compliance with all Federal and State regulations. This full-time, contract-to-hire role offers flexible work arrangements including remote, on-site, or hybrid options for local candidates. The ideal candidate will have experience as a Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) and possess strong technical and organizational skills.
Schedule & Location:
- Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
- Work from home (equipment provided) with options for on-site or hybrid if local
Responsibilities:
- Enter new medication orders and patient profile changes accurately within the queue system
- Identify and handle controlled substance requests according to established policies
- Troubleshoot insurance rejections and collaborate with the billing department as needed
- Prioritize medication routes and orders to optimize workflow
- Contact facilities to obtain missing information or notify them when medications cannot be dispensed
- Answer incoming phone calls promptly within three rings
- Notify Pharmacists of unfillable medication orders and communicate accordingly with facilities
- Strictly adhere to the Absolute Check Policy, ensuring required Pharmacist verifications
- Relay updates and changes to Back Counter staff
- Provide professional, timely customer service
- Attend all required meetings and training sessions
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Valid Wisconsin Pharmacy Technician License (CPhT preferred)
- Proven pharmacy technician experience, particularly in long-term care settings
- Strong working knowledge of Framework software is essential
- Excellent typing speed with high attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to handle clerical tasks efficiently and manage workload independently
- Adaptability to changing workflow and situations
- Quiet workspace with reliable high-speed internet for remote work
This 13-week contract-to-hire position offers a competitive hourly rate of $19 to $22, dependent on experience.
