Position Overview:


We are seeking a warm, detail-oriented, and highly motivated Medical Assistant & Front Desk Associate to join our team. This hybrid role plays a critical part in both the patient experience and clinical support functions of the practice.


As a medical assistant, you will support providers and patients through high-quality clinical care, ensuring comfort, safety, and professionalism at every step of the patient journey. As a front desk team member, you will be the first point of contact for our patients—setting the tone for a seamless, elevated experience.


The ideal candidate demonstrates exceptional hospitality, strong clinical fundamentals, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-touch environment.


What You’ll Do:


Clinical Responsibilities

  • Provide hands-on patient care and support to physicians and clinical staff
  • Prepare patients for treatments and procedures, ensuring comfort and understanding
  • Document medical histories accurately and maintain confidentiality at all times
  • Explain treatment plans and procedures clearly and compassionately
  • Sterilize medical instruments before and after procedures in accordance with protocols
  • Maintain treatment rooms to ensure cleanliness, organization, and proper stocking
  • Collect and perform basic laboratory tests as required
  • Assist with pre- and post-procedure patient care


Front Desk & Administrative Responsibilities

  • Greet patients warmly and manage check-in/check-out processes
  • Schedule appointments efficiently and accurately
  • Answer phones, respond to inquiries, and support daily front desk operations
  • Update, organize, and maintain patient medical records
  • Coordinate laboratory services and external referrals as needed
  • Support clinic flow and communication between front desk and clinical teams


Qualifications

Required

  • Certification from an accredited Medical Assistant program
  • 1–3 years of experience as a Medical Assistant
  • 0–2 years of experience in a Front Desk or patient-facing administrative role
  • Familiarity with EMR systems and medical office procedures (Nextech is a plus!)
  • Strong multitasking and time-management skills
  • Exceptional customer service and patient-care orientation
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • High level of professionalism, discretion, and attention to detail
  • Collaborative team player with a positive, proactive attitude


Preferred

  • Experience in plastic surgery, dermatology, aesthetics, or specialty medicine.
  • Experience leading a team, managing schedules, or overseeing clinic operations.
  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA).
  • Experience with EMR/EHR and scheduling software (e.g., Nextech, ModMed, or similar).
  • Professional demeanor with the ability to lead through influence and example.
